Our hotel, though it claims to be 5.3/6 stars, doesn't even have a refrigerator. This became a problem when I realized that I wanted to store my leftover pizza from last night. I had this brilliant idea to stick it on the vent and guess what?! I checked back the next day and it was cold and properly stored- I hope. Of course I couldn't warm it up because there also was no microwave, just a safe in the shape of a microwave. But it didn't matter because I like cold pizza almost as much as I like warm pizza.

We had our first official practice tonight. For this practice we needed to have our last name written on the front and back of a t shirt only for the purpose of getting to know the names of the girls on the team, which was a silly idea because you rarely ever call a girl by her last name. I did it anyway. The friendly bartender let me borrow his marker to do the honors. I was trying to figure out why the bartender had a marker and not the front desk.
Don't worry. Once we got to the practice, the agency dudes told us we were going to wear different shirts with numbers on them so that coaches can pick us off their list. These shirts all happened to be five sizes too small on everyone. But it all worked out. They also didn't really tell us that coaches would be watching that night, but there were maybe five or six there scoping out the girls there. I guess they just didn't think it counted because we weren't streaming live on the internet yet where all the coaches in Europe could see us.

We practiced from 8-10 that night and had dinner afterwards. I felt like I had the worst practice of my life. This was the first time that I played middle in two years and I was all out of my element. It is always super rough to end practice on such a horrible note so I went to bed right away with little time to over analyze it before the practice at 8 the next morning.
