For breakfast this morning I had a sandwich. It was pretty good. I just love their breads. They taste so fresh and good, but only if you get the unsliced stuff. The sliced stuff tastes stale and gross. The meat is alright. It has a salami-ish flavor. With some outside help, I was able to determine that I was eating the tuna spread. It was interesting how the flavors combined to be alright even though I don't think I would have liked it alone. After breakfast we took off for the gym to play around a little, mostly to warm up for the tryouts tonight.
The girls are all super nice and it's great. We really can connect well with each other because we have a common purpose and goal.
After the practice we sat and watched the team from Cameroon play a little. We were told that Cory Solomon, our head director agent, wanted to talk to him at 1 so we had a little time to sit and ice our breaking bodies. The kids on the Cameroon team are pretty big- well ok they are huge. Pretty sure that there were only a couple times when one of their players actually hit the ball through the block. The rest of the time, they were roofed pretty bad.
Alicia and I met this guy- he's #1-yesterday at the market. Pretty sure he's around 6'9" and he's one of their shortest players. He plays middle and jumps out of the gym. There's a guy that is almost a foot taller than him that can jump serve at ridiculous speeds.
Finally 1:00 rolled around and Cory showed up. I guess it was 1:15. He told us where we needed to be at 7 for our presceduled meeting. After he left, we all looked at each other a little confused because we had just waited around for him to tell us information that we already knew.
Yesterday we went to the market and I didn't buy anything. Alicia and I just walked around scoping it out.
Today we went to the market and really needed some lotion for my cracking right hand. I also bought this yogurt drink. It was super good. I don't think they have a word for smoothie so they just call it jogurt as well. Their market is just like any other market anywhere else. Except they don't have antibiotic ointment
